Once your registration has been approved you may login and add news

Adding News

When you select to Add News a window will open that initially requires a category. If you want to classify the news so that it will appear in more than one category then click multi-category. In the example on the left, the category that has been chosen is "sandbox" this is a page on the website where you can post temporary articles to see how it all works. The sandbox is emptied regularly and you can delete your own posts to it.

You may format your story with the news bar and also add a link. Experiment to see what each option actually does.

Adding News

When you are finished click on Add News to publish your news item. You should receive a confirmation. To return to the web pages, Use your browser's back option or open another tab. Logout first if you do not intend to alter your news article or add more news.

Multiple Categories

If you think that your news needs to be placed in more than one category then you may select to use Multiple Categories. In the example on the left, both Shop and Cycling have been selected.

Note:

Please note that a few of the categories are reserved for editors and admin use only.

Short Story?

Owing to a fault in the software selecting multi-category disables the Full Story option. So make sure you enter your news story as a Short Story -it does not need to be short! The Short Story Full Story option is meant to provide just a few lines from the story that a user may click to see the Full story.

Advice to Writers :)

From painful experience the longer a forum entry the more likely one is to lose it :(

Its best to write your new story/article/ idea/comment  separately, then copy and paste it into the forum box. This advice applies to all forums on the Internet.

Its easier to use Notepad or a similar text editor as word processing programs add all manner of invisible coding tags that could alter your displayed story. 

Its best to add your formatting within the forum story box.
